This country is supposedly the most powerful in the nation. If that is the case, then why the hell does it seem to be spirally down the proverbial drain? There is so much corruption and money in politics, that I feel WE THE PEOPLE, truth and justice has gone out the window. The old saying that Money Talks is so true where the majority of politicians are concerned. They simply don't seem to care about their fellow woman/men. Let me rephrase that, they only seem to care about the men and their money that put them in office.
It is not only politicians and their lame policies, the majority of Americans, have become so negative and so me, me, me that it is ridiculous. Take for example, immigration. So many people don't want to see a pathway to citizenship for legal/illegal immigrants. Why is that, let me give one example of what listening to my fellow Americans has done for me, in the grocery store line, a woman was talking to the cashier, after an Hispanic woman checked out in front of her, she was talking about her husband is on unemployment because of {these here illegal aliens have come over and taken jobs away from us Americans.} Really, seriously, First, she has no idea what that woman's status is, second, she has no idea what living conditions that woman is going through, third, the woman paid in cash. These so called jobs that immigrants are {taking away} from Americans, most of them are low labor jobs, jobs that the majority of Americans feel are beneath them. Also, as of May of this year unemployment keeps on coming down even more. It would come down even more if the damn Republican Tea Party would get the hell out of the way, better yet, get off their lazy obstructionists asses and work with our President, FOR THE PEOPLE! That is why we hired them.

Another thing that has crawled up under my skin and is irritating the crap out of me is: Welfare. All this crap about making welfare recipients get drug tested and no drug testing for gun owners. WTF. Drug testing costs money and most of these folks on welfare on broke, most through NO fault of their own. What is wrong with this picture!! Oh and another one of our gracious Americans was heard from, by me, once again in a grocery store line, There was a woman who paid for her groceries with a welfare card. The woman was black, I reveal this because, the woman who made the comment was white. When the woman left the line, with her groceries, the woman in line, made a statement to the cashier, I bet she is driving a Lexus. WTF! This just shows you that RACISM is still alive and well herein NC and other parts of the world I am sure.
Here is a statistic for you: Let's break it down:
Percentage of Whites on Welfare 38.8
Percentage of Blacks on Welfare 39.8
Percentage of Hispanics on Welfare 15.7
Percentage of Asian on Welfare 2.4
Percentage of other on Welfare 3.3
Why is it that there are fewer Hispanics and Asians on Welfare in this country? This is something that we truly need to look at. Could it be that their work ethics are better than American's or that they actually work, no matter what the job is, they work!

This brings me to Gun Control laws and the politicians that have been bought by the gun lobbyists. Why is it that the majority of WE THE PEOPLE are in favor of stronger gun control laws 55% favor, 44% oppose, 1% no opinion <---Losers. This according to the CNN poll.

How many senators do you suppose were bought and paid for to vote against stronger gun laws, better yet simply stronger background checks: it seems that 42 out of 45 senators who voted NO on the recent bill have received significant donations from the gun lobby. In otherwords, WE THE PEOPLE, be damned. The money and their political careers mean way more than what their constituents think or want.http://www.care2.com/causes/93-of-senators-who-rejected-gun-control-paid-by-nra.html

This brings us back to the original statement: There is so much money and corruption in politics, that I feel WE THE PEOPLE, truth and justice have gone out the window. This is why I support Moral Monday's here in North Carolina. WE THE PEOPLE do have a voice and we are using it against our Republican Tea Party led General Assembly. Be LOUD and Be HEARD.
This is Jillsview of Politics.
